IMPROVE YOUR STAGE-CRAFT
BUILD CONFIDENCE AND PERFORM BETTER
Stage-craft and performance skills don't come naturally to everyone! You may have the voice of an angel, but if you feel like fainting at the thought of walking on stage then know that you're not alone. Performance anxiety affects not only beginners who are new to the stage but seasoned professionals too!
The good news is there's a truly vast amount of techniques you can employ to build confidence and conviction into your performance.
Dealing with stage fright and mindset is just one of many aspects of stage-craft I work on with my students. A large number of vocalists come to me to develop and refine their performances. The goal of any performance should be to create an atmosphere and connection with the audience.
How you achieve this will vary depending on the context of the performance. Professional singers tackle opportunities of all shapes and sizes from pub gigs to theatres, from 200 to 20,000+ capacity venues, so we work to make the most of each performance with techniques appropriate to the setting.
